More from Jo:
On Sunday, 19th November, I will be entering the Conwy Half Marathon. This is the first time I have entered this event and I am really looking forward to running the distance in such beautiful surroundings. I am raising money for The Sue Moreton Foundation. Sue was a dear family friend and we enjoyed many lovely walks around Conwy and the Orme with her. This seemed like the perfect event to enter to raise money for her Foundation. The aim of the Foundation is to support people who wish to train in the field of midwifery and health visiting. In addition, it will provide funds for projects which promote and advance the issues affecting the post-natal care period. Examples of how the funds are being spent are the purchase of ten BabyBay Medicare cots which have been donated to maternity wards in Wrexham Maelor, Glan Clwyd and Ysbyty Gwynedd hospitals. The Foundation is also supporting midwives to become feeding consultants to help mums with breastfeeding plus it is lending its support to a bereavement service held annually to remember lost babies. These are all subjects close to Sue’s heart so what an amazing tribute to an amazing lady. Let’s keep the funds coming in!
So proud of you Jo.
You’re amazing & Sue would be so humbled by your achievement xx
