Update: walk completed
Thanks to everyone who joined us on the beautiful walk just after Christmas. It was a tough walk and big thanks to everyone for making the effort and completing it. Here are some photos from the day 🙂
Section 8 – Cemaes Bay to Bull Bay (Approx. 6 miles)
This walk, originally planned for October, was postponed due to poor weather, although we had a lovely meander along the beach from Newborough to Llanddwyn Island instead! We now have the chance to complete walk 8 over the Xmas holiday.
We will all need to drive to Amlwch Port for 9am to meet and have some breakfast. There is a lovely café just above the car park—’Caffi Quays’ and, although they are normally closed over the Xmas period, they have agreed to open for us!! Please ’What’s App’ your likely food order so that they have some idea of numbers. I’ve sent a photo of their breakfast menu.
This walk will actually finish in Bull Bay so we will all need to drive the short way along the coast and leave some cars there, then drive to the start at Cemaes Bay.
The walk will start from the Cemaes Bay port car park at approx. 10– 10.15. Please note that this is the car park with the pizza hut on the left as you drive in. (Awkward turn in
from the road).
This walk is a milestone in itself as we will be at the half-way stage of the Anglesey challenge, once this is completed! Amazing!!!
This walk is approx 6 miles so should take about 4 hours.
Amlwch Port/ Caffi Quays postcode is LL68 9HA.
Cemaes Bay postcode is LL67 0DU.
Please get in touch if you’d like to join us on the walk and need to find someone to buddy-up with. We have lot’s of people willing and able to help out.
If you’re planning to join us we ask that everyone donates £10 to The Sue Moreton Foundation via this link or by giving £10 on the day. Please make sure you let us know you’re coming.
Please also join our Facebook Group page for details, and more details about the Anglesey Coastal Path Challenge can be found here.
We look forward to seeing you soon!!
