UPDATE FROM ROSANNA
Hello,
I’d like to thank you all for your very generous donations for my recent swim.
It was a fantastic day, and I was delighted to complete the circuit, but due to the poor weather conditions the distance was shorted to 1200m. I was quite relieved as it was very very cold!!
To feel like I’d fully completed my mission, I went with Chris and the girls this morning to the lake in Pontefract and completed my full mile!
Thanks to you I have raised a fantastic total of £1030, which including gift aid gives a grand total of £1241.25, which has massively exceeded my initial target of £300!!
The money is going directly to bereavement support in North Wales as the next venture for the Sue Moreton Foundation, and I know that Jess and Ian are very grateful that I have done this in memory of baby Oliver.
Thank you all again.

23rd June 2019
Weather permitting, Rosanna Hill will today dive in to Lake Windermere aiming to complete a one mile swim in it’s cold, murky dark waters. This will be Rosanna’s first open water swimming experience – she’s really throwing herself in the deep end, quite literally!

With this challenge Rosanna is opening up a new area of focus for The Sue Moreton Foundation in the area of bereavement support. We will work with local health professionals to provide families who have sadly lost a baby either in pregnancy/labour or after the birth, with keepsakes and memory boxes. We will also be sponsoring a study day for professionals in North Wales in September – more details to follow soon.
All of the money Rosanna raises for this swim will go directly to support these initiatives, for this is a topic close to Rosanna’s heart. In her own words:
On Christmas morning we received the sad news that our friends Jess and Ian’s baby boy Oliver was stillborn. With Jess and Ian in our thoughts and in memory of baby Oliver, we hope to help those in a similar situation, particularly by improving the memory boxes and providing keepsakes for parents.
Best of luck to Rosanna in her swim!! Please sponsor here via this link:
