Louise’s 21 mile Stand Up Paddleboard challenge around Lake Windermere

Self supported 21 miles around the full perimeter of Lake Windermere

We are in awe of Louise’s upcoming challenge! On May 11th* Louise will set off from Borrans Park, Ambleside for a 21 mile lap of Lake Windermere on her Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). Louise is completely new to the sport of SUP’ing and is embracing the challenge full on, with winter practice sessions well underway. In her own words:

“So I’m off on my Stand Up Paddle Board to make it around the 21 miles of Lake Windermere…gulp! It’s going to be HARD and this is a new sport sport for me and I’m still learning, but I plan to train hard to make sure I can do it…..So all donations are greatly received, every penny makes a difference. THANK YOU.”

  1. I am most definitely in awe of you Lou for lots of reasons. Apart from being terrified of water/looking like a jelly bean in a wetsuit & a 101 more reasons I certainly won’t ever be doing anything like that. Delighted to sponsor you though. We will also try & be there to cheer you along xx
